When Your Finance Team was founded in 2015, it was with a clear belief: that building a successful business and doing the right thing are not mutually exclusive. Ten years on, that belief has been independently verified. We are proud to announce that Your Finance Team is now a certified B Corporation.
What is a B Corp?
B Corp certification is awarded by B Lab, a global not-for-profit, to businesses that meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. It is not a marketing badge. The certification process assessed every aspect of how we operate. From how we treat our team and serve our clients, to how we manage our environmental footprint and govern our business. Companies must also legally embed their commitment to purpose alongside profit in their company articles.
We are now part of a community of over 10,700 certified B Corps globally, with the UK home to the largest and fastest-growing B Corp community in the world. Including names like The Guardian, Patagonia, Innocent Drinks and Tony’s Chocolonely.
Why it matters to us
For us, this certification is the formal recognition of values we have held since day one. We have always believed that a finance firm should do more than manage numbers. It should help businesses grow responsibly, treat people well, and play its part in protecting the planet.
That commitment shows up in how we work every day. We are proud members of the SME Climate Hub and have pledged to reach net zero on Scopes 1 and 2 by 2040, halve our Scope 3 emissions by the same date, and report our progress annually as part of the UN Race to Zero campaign. Through our partnership with Treeapp, we have planted over 700 trees to date, supporting the absorption of 68.7 tCO₂e and reforesting more than 4,200 square metres of land across Africa, the Americas and Asia.
Our commitment to people runs equally deep. Independent client satisfaction surveys consistently place us well above the UK upper-quartile benchmark, with an NPS score of 85-87 against an industry benchmark of 48-72. We are proud of that, because it tells us our clients feel genuinely supported not just serviced.
